Innovate UK (a branch of the UK Research Institute) are about to open two funding programmes aimed at organisations that are involved or support the UK farming sector. There are two funding streams that will be opened from 1st March 2021, see below:

 Farming Innovation Pathways (FIP) – Industrial Research. UK registered businesses and research organisations can apply for a share of up to £7 million for industrial research to address the farming challenges of productivity, sustainability, and net zero emissions. The project must address one or more high priority areas in at least one of these four industry subsectors: Livestock, Plant, Novel food production system, Bioeconomy and Agroforestry. The total project size must be between: £75,000 and £250,000.

 Farming Innovation Pathways (FIP) – Feasibility Studies. UK registered businesses and research organisations can apply for a share of up to £5 million for feasibility studies to address the farming challenges of productivity, sustainability, and net zero emissions. The project must address one or more high priority areas in at least one of these four industry subsectors: Livestock, Plant, Novel food production systems, Bioeconomy and Agroforestry. The total project size must be between: £75,000 and £250,000.
